Best Total War Warhammer III Faction Mods

Last time we talked about our overall Top 10 TW: Warhammer III Mods, but today we want to focus on Faction & Race pack mods done by the community. Sadly, Creative Assembly announced a delay for their latest DLC, so we have to play around with mods until Tides Of Torment will be dropping out.

As a general reminder, there might be issues with compatibility if you are planning to use multiple mods from this list at the same time, so try activating mods one by one to get the best possible returns. If you are missing some of the previous DLC’s most of them are on sale right now, so pick them up before it’s too late.

Mercenaries of Khuresh

While this isn’t exactly a full race pack mod, the Khuresh Mercenaries adds a bunch of new units that can be recruited by certain factions in the game through occasional dilemmas. To my understanding, this team is also working on an eventual full race pack that will be a playable faction, but this can be seen as proof of concept and a first taste of what’s to come from this amazing team.

OvN Lost Factions: Albion

Since the last time we featured OvN Araby, we don’t want to feature that again, so we picked out OvN’s take on Albion, a small island nation near the coast of Bretonnia. It comes with two custom factions, new units, and custom campaign mechanics. In order to run this mod properly with your game, you will need Mixu’s Unlocker mod as well.

Nippon Faction Mod

We had to include an actual Nippon mod on this list, and there are actually a few in the making, so it was kinda tough to choose which one to feature. After Immortal Empires Expanded mod dropped out, more people have been modding things beyond the map borders, and that includes Nippon (also, IEE is a mandatory mod for this one). There are also two English-translated variations out of this mod, which you might want to get unless you’re fluent in Mandarin Chinese.  I also recommend checking out this other mod, which is currently being discontinued.

OvN Lost Factions: Fishmen Invasion

Another newer entry by the OvN team, while not a full-fledged faction, this one works like a form of a mercenary race pack that includes five new playable fishmen units and introduces custom mechanics in the campaign as well. In order to get this mod working, you will need Mixu’s Unlocker installed.

SCM’s Legendary Campaigns Compilation Pack

If you are looking for a massive mod that is about introduces 15 new factions into the game with 12 cultures that have their own unique models and campaign mechanics, well, SCM’s LCCP is definitely something we recommend getting. Note: this was created on top of ChaosRobie’s IEE Mod and won’t work without it.

OvN Lost Factions: Dread King Legions

Experience a brand-new Tomb King sub-faction in Total War: Warhammer III with the OvN Lost Factions: Dread King Legions mod. Led by the mysterious Dread King, this fully custom faction blends classic Tomb King units with unique, lore-inspired troops and lords drawn from Warhammer’s tabletop and Dark Omen history. Featuring a necromancy-based recruitment system, the faction raises units from the corpses of slain elves, humans, and monsters
