Game Modding in League Of Legends has been around for a long time, and it has undergone many changes due to stances set by Riot Games, but in the current situation, it’s totally OK and allowed by Riot Games, but I’ve heard the Korean server might have different rules from the rest of the regions. Today, we are going to take a look at some really amazing Custom skins made through the years by multiple people in the League of Legends community.
If you are new to LoL modding, I recommend reading our guide on how to install CSLoL Manager, which allows you to use Custom skins inside the game regardless of the server. This list is not in any particular order, we just handpicked ten really good skins we liked (Note that we are doing a separate list for map skins).
#10 – Clown Katarina
A Premium Katarina skin that comes with epic sound effects for all her abilities. The Custom SFX also looks very impressive and fitting well to the clown theme. If there is one point of critique, that would be the base texture being a bit on the lower quality side of things. Another point worth mentioning is that this is also bundled with 8 chromas to bring some variety.

#9 – Charizard Smolder
Another very cool concept skin, this one evolves based on how many stacks you get as Smolder, so you start out as Charmander, then on the next stack upgrade to Charmeleon, then to Charizard, and finally Mega Charizard. At the top of this, there are a lot of custom animations, recall, emotes, respawn, and the Ultimate ability.

#8 – Viper Renata Glasc
Who doesn’t like a crossover between Valorant and League of Legends? Riot really should do some of those crossover skins, but that’s another discussion. This Renata skin is really clean looking and fits quite well with Viper and the whole poison/gas aesthetic. What is most impressive, really, is the SFX set that looks very different from the original and embodies Viper’s kit in Valorant.

#7 – Beeko
A very beautiful Neeko skin that is influenced by the Teemo and Orianna Bee skin line, this comes with a lot of custom SFX that fits into the theme, plus there are a couple of chroma skins bundled in with this custom skin.

#6 – Project Kai’sa
A very faithful Kaisa skin that is emulating the popular PROJECT skin line by Riot Games, there is custom SFX, a new loading screen, and VFX for abilities. Definitely one of the more high-quality Kaisa custom skins ever made in my opinion.

#5 – Citlali Karma
This Skin is based on a Genshin Impact character known as Citlali – a very high-quality model, and custom SFX are of very top-notch quality. Also, there is a custom recall animation included, by the looks of it. Anyhow, one of the better-looking anime skins that fits the overall look of League.

#4 – Slumber Party Annie
Obviously, our list has to be diverse in its content, so we had to add one very cute skin in the mi,x and I think the most adorable one we could find is this Annie one. This skin comes along with some pretty neat custom SFX that mix red fire with blue, which makes nice aesthetic.

#3 – The Morrigan Leblanc
This Leblanc skin is based on a playable god from SMITE known as the Morrigan. I love the very detailed SFX animations that this skin comes with, alongside a custom splash art on the loading screen. It’s not super flashy, but there’s something here that makes the animations look very neat with the after-images.

#2 – The Wither Hunter Akshan
Very creative Minecraft-inspired Akshan skin that includes a full set of new animations, new SFX particles, Custom splash art on loading screen, custom ability icons, custom recall animation, among some other minor changes and details.

#1 – Project Yone
We have to squeeze another Project skin on this list, as that Cyberpunk look just fits so well with certain champions. This skin looks like it could be made by the official Riot Games Art team. There is a lot of custom SFX here that embodies that clean Blood/Red theme that Yone is known for, and even the PROJECT HUD effect with E is a really nice touch to this skin.
